(Springfield, IL) — Governor Rauner will be giving his second State of the State address today. Rauner is expected to focus on making state government more efficient. Other topics include further reforms to Illinois‘ criminal justice system. He also plans to clarify his support for Senate President John Cullerton’s proposed state employee pension program. The State of Illinois has spent the past 7 months with no state budget, hurting many organizations around the state—it’s not clear if Rauner will further address that issue. The State of the State Address is set for noon today. And, we plan to have the broadcast today on 104.7 FM/AM 1500 WPMB.
