The Lady Vandals rough patch continued Monday night as Vandalia dropped an SCC matchup Litchfield at home 54-41. After falling behind early and facing a nine-point deficit after one quarter and a 10-point deficit at halftime, the Lady Vandals had a strong showing in the third quarter. Outscoring Litchfield 16-10 in the 3rd the Lady Vandals found themselves trailing by just four points, 37-33, heading into the 4th. Litchfield’s star center Abby Brockmeier hit several baskets and free throws in the period to help close out the win for the Panthers. The Lady Vandals were led in scoring by Makayla Tinker with 17 points. The Lady Vandals are now 14-11 on the season and 3-3 in the SCC Conference. The girls will be back in action tonight for their 6th game in 9 days when they travel to Greenville to take on the Comets in another SCC matchup.
