(Springfield, IL) — A group is starting a campaign this week urging Illinois to approve more medical conditions that can be legally treated with marijuana. The Cannabis Patient Advocacy Coalition plans to spread the message up until the February 1st deadline for the Illinois Department of Public Health to either uphold or reject recommendations made by the Medical Cannabis Advisory Board last October. Among the conditions advocates want added are post-traumatic stress disorder, autism and irritable bowel syndrome. The coalition is also encouraging the public to sign a petition asking the Rauner administration to make medical marijuana more accessible to patients.
