Plenty of winter weather is on the way over the next 3 or 4 days in the area. Temperatures will be dropping during the day today and we will drop down to about 10 by 5 pm. Then, the temps will continue to slide tonight as we’ll drop down to a low of 1 tonight with wind chill values down to -15. For tomorrow, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we’ll see only a high of 15. Then, snow comes into the forecast for Tuesday night, after midnight, and into Wednesday. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says in their Hazardous Weather Outlook that 1 to 3 inches of snow can be expected over the area. Weather Underground (available at www.vandaliaradio.com) says in their forecast that 3 to 5 inches of snow can be expected for the area. Accuweather tells a different story, calling for a coating up to an inch. So, variables remain in the amount.
