Governor Bruce Rauner is applauding the work so far of a group charged with reforming the state’s criminal justice system. Governor Rauner formed the commission with the goal of reducing the state prison population by 25 percent over the next decade.
Rauner says he likes the recommendations the group has come up with so far, and urges commission members to continue looking into bias against minorities in the criminal justice system.
