(Springfield, IL) — The campaign of Bernie Sanders waited for the last day to file petitions for the Illinois primary ballot, joining fellow Democrats Hillary Clinton and Martin O’Malley in filing for themselves and a slate of 102 convention delegates, though O’Malley’s slate only had 42 names. Six Republican contenders waited until the final day to file, joining six other candidates who had already filed. Most of the Republican candidates filed full slates of 54 delegates.
