Fayette County Sheriff Chris Smith shared these earlier today
-Pittsburg Road south is flooded
-Ramsey bottoms at Kaskaskia River has some water on roads.
-Numerous low lying roads close to creeks will have some water on them
St. Elmo Fire Chief Doug Engeljohn added some more in Avena Township
-1950E at Sugar Creek and 2050E at Sugar Creek
Also reports have said River Road from Shobonier to Carlyle Road is flooded, as well
And, all drivers are cautioned that any roads that normally take on water would most certainly be flooded at this time. Rainfall amounts around the county are ranging from 5.5 inches and up in the Ramsey area and 3.5 inches and up reported in the Vandalia Country Club area. More rain will continue today and tonight and potentially heavy rain for tonight and into Monday morning
