With a break on Sunday morning from the heavier rains, it has allowed some of the flash flooding to recede on roads around Fayette County. But, there are still some problem areas. Fayette County Sheriff Chris Smith says there are some flooded roads around the county.
Pittsburg Road south is flooded
Ramsey bottoms at the Kaskaskia River has some water on roads.
Numerous low lying roads close to creeks will have some water on them
Sheriff Smith says they are checking other roads around the county. More rain is expected today and potentially heavy rain and again for tonight and into Monday. So, Sheriff Smith advises everyone to take caution when traveling on rural roads today.
