Governor Bruce Rauner quickly signed into law an appropriations bill on Monday, that will start to release more funding from the state. The measure easily passed the Senate and then was quickly signed by the Governor. The appropriations bill funds several areas, including domestic violence shelters and Secretary of State operations. It also lets lottery winners be paid, and funds the state’s Energy Assistance Program says State Senator Mattie Hunter.
The bill also sends out long awaited tax dollars due to local governments for things like road repairs and funding 9-1-1 dispatch centers.
