For the 9th year in a row, those that are without anywhere to go on Thanksgiving day do have a place where they can come and celebrate with others. The 9th annual community Thanksgiving meal will be held Thanksgiving Day from 11 am to 1 pm at the Vandalia American Legion. There is no charge of the meal and the Fayette County Habitat for Humanity invites you to come and feast together at the annual community Thanksgiving dinner celebration. This is a community event and everyone who would enjoy celebrating Thanksgiving with others is welcome at the meal. If you are in need of transportation, caring people are ready to come for you, bring you to the meal and return you to your home. You can contact Kathy Sanders at 292-2353 for more information.
