(Chicago, IL) — Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich wants to take his corruption convictions to the Supreme Court. In his appeal to the nation’s high court, Blagojevich’s lawyers question when it becomes illegal to make trades for political favors. He was convicted on a number of bribery charges for trying to trade the Senate seat vacated by President Obama for political favors. Earlier this year, a lower court tossed five of those convictions. He’s currently serving a 14-year prison sentence.
