(Chicago, IL) — A large number of college students in the state will be getting relief for their loan debt. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced two settlements with the for-profit company Education Management Corporation. One agreement will forgive more than three-million-dollars in loans for over 26-hundred Illinois students. The company will also return nearly two-million-dollars to the state to resolve suspected violations.
