(Springfield, IL) — There’s a new director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Governor Bruce Rauner last week announced State Representative Raymond Poe, a Sangamon County farmer, will take over the role left vacant when Philip Nelson resigned in September. Poe, representing the 99th District, has been a member of the General Assembly for 20 years.
