(Springfield, IL) — Illinois political leaders are going to have to reschedule budget talks after the House Speaker announced he can’t make it. Michael Madigan said on Saturday he won’t be able to attend the talks, scheduled with Governor Rauner, on Wednesday. Madigan planned on sending the chairman of the House Revenue and Finance Committee, but Rauner reset the talks for the first day of December. Illinois has been without a budget since the beginning of July.
