(Springfield, IL) — A state lawmaker is facing backlash after a bill failed to pass the Illinois House. Democrats came up one vote shy yesterday of approving a measure that would reverse Governor Rauner’s overhaul of the state’s child care assistance program. Democratic Representative Ken Dunkin heard opposition after he didn’t participate. The vote came after the governor offered to loosen up new rules on child care assistance
