One individual was injured in a two vehicle accident Sunday morning in Fayette County. Illinois State Police Report says a vehicle driven by 29 year old Melinda Sue Lotz of St. Peter was traveling west bound on CR 900 North and State Police say Lotz failed to yield at a stop intersection to a vehicle driven by 31 year old Tarus T. Morning of Mt. Vernon, as Morning was traveling south on CR 2650 East—and the units collided at the intersection and the Morning vehicle overturned. The driver of unit 2, 31 year old Tarus T. Morning of Mt. Vernon, was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham by ambulance. Lotz was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop intersection while Morning was cited for failure to wear a seat belt.
