Governor Bruce Rauner made a stop in Vandalia on Friday evening. And, he says they are making progress on a new budget. Later this month, Governor Rauner will meet with the four legislative leaders on the budget issues that have led to no budget for the state of Illinois since July 1st. But, Rauner says he has been meeting individually with the leaders to work on this issue.
Rauner made stops on Friday in Litchfield, Flora, Vandalia and Taylorville and he says he reminds the leaders and others he represents the entire state of Illinois.
Rauner made his stop at The Lake House Restaurant in Vandalia on Friday evening, as part of his day full of stops in the region.
