He was born November 25, 1936, in Brownstown , IL, the son of Clarence A. & Dorothy E. (Forbes) Kistler. Married Debra M. Washburn on August 06, 1999, in Vandalia, IL. He was a retired Fayette Co. Sheriff’s Deputy, Farmer, Diesel Mechanic and a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by: Wife – Debra M. Kistler, Vandalia, IL; Son – Kevin Kistler & Christy, Vandalia, IL; Daughters – Karen Sanders & Kent, Ramsey, IL, Marcia Belcher & Chad, Vandalia, IL and Tina Hardin & Joseph, GA; Step- Children- Quinby Hawthorne and Raymond Carroll, both of Vandalia, IL. Brothers – Wallace Kistler, Arthur, IL, Forrest “Punk” Kistler, Brownstown, IL, – John Kistler, and Mike Kistler, both of Vandalia, IL; Sisters – Shirley Holman, and Jane Emerick, Vandalia, IL, Mary Chambers, Altamont, IL.
