(Bloomington, IL) — In his latest version of his budget stump speech, Governor Rauner is again predicting the impasse that’s now in its fifth month will be resolved in January. Rauner told an audience in Bloomington today that pending money problems for the city of Chicago and Chicago schools will force Democrats to capitulate. Meanwhile, in Chicago today, dozens of protesters blocked LaSalle Street in the financial district in the latest Moral Monday demonstration, this one targeting the hardships for the poor.
