(Harrisburg, IL) — A former member of the state parole board is suing Governor Bruce Rauner. Former Harrisburg mayor Eric Gregg is also suing the chairman of the state’s parole board after he was fired from the board earlier this month. The suit says the firing was illegal, and that Gregg has since suffered embarrassment and emotional distress, and seeks damages. According to legal counsel for the governor’s office, Gregg filed false information on a bankruptcy form in 2013 and, based on that, may have committed perjury, which were factors in the firing.
