(New York, NY) — David Wright drilled a two-run homer and plated four runs as the Mets dropped the Royals, 9-3 in Game Three of the World Series at Citi Field. Wright went deep in the first inning, and added a two-run single in the sixth to lead the way for New York. Curtis Granderson launched a two-run shot in the third inning and scored three runs for the Mets. Noah Syndergaard hurled six frames of three-run ball to secure the win. The Mets now trail Kansas City, two games to one in the series with Game Four set for Saturday night in New York. Yordano Ventura surrendered seven hits and five runs in three-and-a-third to take the loss for the Royals. Reliever Franklin Morales got tagged as well, giving up four runs on two hits while recording just one out in the sixth inning. Alex Rios scored and plated a run for the Royals.
