The Vandalia Police Department is working to make sure this is a safe Halloween Parade tonight. As he talked about earlier this week, Vandalia Police Chief Jeff Ray says they are taking some extra precautions this year after the tragic train-vehicle accident of one year ago. And, Chief Ray again reminds everyone to make sure their kids do not dart out into the street during the parade to pick up candy. Chief Ray says they really do need all the parent or guardian’s help with this.
Also Chief Ray also reminds there will be no parking on Gallatin Street after 5pm for the parade
