(Chicago, IL) — Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert is expected to plead guilty today in a hush money case. His lawyers told a federal judge in Chicago earlier this month that a plea agreement had been worked out. An indictment claims he lied to the FBI about millions of dollars’ worth of bank withdrawals. Hastert is accused of using the money to cover up past sexual misconduct during his time as a high school teacher and coach in Yorkville.
