A State Lawmaker wants to require weekly budget meetings as the stalemate continues. State Senator Julie Morrison is introducing legislation requiring the Governor and the four legislative leaders to sit down at least once a week for a public meeting on the state budget.
The Governor and leaders reportedly haven’t met as a full group since the end of May. Illinois is currently in it’s fourth month without a state budget.
