Producers are wrapping up the harvest season in Illinois. With virtually no rain this past week, there was plenty of time for fieldwork says State Crop Statistician Mark Schleusener.
63 percent of the winter wheat crop has been planted, as well. Average statewide topsoil moisture declined over the week and now stands at 13 percent very short, 39 percent short, 45 percent adequate and 3 percent surplus.
