(Belleville, IL) — Senator Mark Kirk says he feels confident about a Metro-East county getting the new National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. The “Belleville News-Democrat” reports Kirk’s confidence stems from a fiber-optic cable network that runs from the current NGA campus in St. Louis to Scott Air Force Base. Kirk was in St. Clair County on Friday to talk to military leaders about bringing the new NGA center to Illinois. The facility would add 31-hundred jobs.
