The Salvation Army kettle and bell have become synonymous with the holiday season. Many bell ringers are needed to
cover the doors at Wal-Mart, County Market, and Rural King on Friday and Saturdays starting Friday, November 20th through Thursday, December 24th.
The Salvation Army provides emergency assistance to those in Fayette County throughout the year. Many families in Fayette County have been able to survive tragedies because of the help from Salvation Army.
If you or your business would like to donate time to be a bell ringer this holiday season, please following this link https://www.shiftboard.com/VandaliaAssocOfChurches/register.html to get registered for this year.
Click Salvation Army Bell Ringing link, you will then be directed to register with an
email, address and phone number, once registered you will receive a welcome email with your temporary password. Click the link on the email and type in your email and temporary password, now click on Calendar and select from November 20th thru December 24th and select the dates you can work. You will need to have access to your email account when registering. The system will send out reminders 5 days before you are scheduled to work. Also, if you have a smartphone you can download the scheduling app Shiftboard, however you will need to register online first, then you can go to your app and schedule shifts and get reminders via your phone or email.
