Fayette County law enforcement will see the process of issuing a ticket get both safer and easier after the county approved a contract for the digiTicket system to be implemented. With the new system, driver’s licenses will be scanned into a handheld unit used by the officers which will read the information and populate a ticket, cutting down on possible information transfer errors. The new system will be used by all the county’s municipal and county law enforcement offices as Circuit Clerk Kathy Emerick says she has talked to all of the various agencies.
The use of digiTicket will also allow for information to be received by the Circuit Clerk’s office quicker, making it easier for people to take care of paying for their tickets.
The digiTicket system being used along with the ability to pay for tickets online that the county already uses will streamline the ticket process even more.
