With the state now being about halfway through its fourth month without a budget, the effects are starting to be felt around the state more every day. When asked if the county had seen issues with money not being received from the state, Fayette County Board Chairman Jeff Beckman said like the City of Vandalia, they had not received Motor Fuel money and funds have not been coming in regularly.
Aside from county and municipal governments, many social service organizations and programs have also seen revenue from the state not coming in during the ongoing budget impasse.
