Farmers have been in the fields in earnest the last couple weeks getting the harvest season going for both corn and beans around the county. Farm Bureau Manager Stephanie Kraus was a guest with Dan Michel on the Morning Café and says after a less than ideal end to the growing season last year, the weather has been ideal for corn this year.
And as for soybeans, Kraus says the growing conditions have been great.
After a slight interruption due to rain earlier this week, farmers have had a couple days to be in the fields and with the possibility of rain staying out of the forecast till late next week, should be able to complete much more of their harvesting in the next several days.
