The Brownstown School Board held their annual budget hearing Monday night as part of their monthly board meeting. Looking at the budget numbers, Brownstown Superintendent Adam Bussard said like many other districts are going through, it is much of a guessing game trying to figure out the exact dollars coming in from the state and revenue numbers being unstable.
Bussard says it has been a positive to have general state aid coming in on time so far this fiscal year and says they have been receiving some other funds from the state as well.
After receiving just an 89% proration in general state aid, an education budget was approved and schools have been receiving general state aid at a 92% proration this fiscal year.
