Fall is officially here and that means it’s time to get your annual flu shot. Illinois Public Health Director Dr. Nirav Shah says everyone older than six months should be vaccinated against influenza. He says while strains of the flu often change, the vaccine should help prevent a lot of people from getting sick.
Shah says you can get the vaccine in a traditional shot, an intradermal shot that has a much smaller needle or a nasal spray. Health Departments, most drug stores and some employers offer the immunization or you can get it from your regular doctor.
