(Springfield, IL) — Attorney General Lisa Madigan is encouraging educators around Illinois to teach students the importance of Internet safety by holding what she calls “Delete Day” during this school year. Madigan says it’s an opportunity for students to evaluate their online habits and get rid of content or associations that could be harmful to themselves or to others. According to the AG, a survey conducted last year of Illinois students in grades three through eight showed that nearly three-quarters of students spend up to four hours a day using technology. More information on “Delete Day” is available on the attorney general website.
