As we head into the final few days before the start of fall, we are getting ready for a pretty dramatic change in the weather. We could see an isolated shower or thunderstorms during the day today and it will be hot, with a high of 88 during the day. Then, showers and thunderstorms are likely for tonight—the National Weather Service says mainly after 10 pm—with a low tonight of 63. The NWS adds some of the storms may become severe and capable of tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds. And, the NWS adds the storms could be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall, as well. After the storms roll thru they will leave cooler temperatures behind. We are looking at a slight chance of showers during the morning hours on Saturday with a high of 73 and we’ll stay in the 70s for highs for the next few days, after today.
