(Normal, IL) — State Health officials are investigating after declaring a mumps outbreak in McLean County. The County Health Department says a small pocket of cases has developed with connections to Heartland Community College, prompting an outbreak declaration on the campus. Letters are being sent to all students, faculty and staff who may be in close contact with those infected. As of yesterday, test results have confirmed 16-positive mumps cases in McLean County.
