(Springfield, IL) — The Rauner administration will resume payments to the providers of services to disabled children that had been stopped as part of the budget impasse. Governor Rauner’s comptroller said today that her office now believes payments under the Early Intervention program are covered by an existing federal consent decree. That’s a reversal of her earlier position. Providers had threatened to discontinue their services at the end of the month if payments weren’t made.
