John D. Diveley, 71, of Bloomington, Illinois, formerly of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015, at Arba Care Center of Bloomington.
Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, September 25, 2015, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Rev. Melvin Devall, officiating. Private Family Burial will be at Taylor Cemetery, Pittsburg, IL. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, Friday, September 25, 2015, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. He was born April 11, 1944, in Pleasant Mound, IL, the son of John E. & Kate V. (Lilly) Diveley. Married Leota Mae Heather, she passed away in 2002. He was previously employed at the Vandalia Leader-Union and Imco, both of Vandalia, IL and was in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by: Daughters – Christina Hardin-Weiss and Teresa Milligan; Sisters – Mona Devall & Carl, and Sandra Daniels & Charlie; 1 Brother – Don Diveley & Bessie; Many Nephews & Nieces and 1 Granddaughter – Madison.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Wife; Brother – Harvey Diveley; & Sisters – Carma Nordyke Robinson and Mafalda Jean Devall.
