Recent rains have slowed corn harvesting a bit as we hear in the weekly crop report. Rainfall averaged more than 1.5 inches above normal last week, which is .8 inches above normal. State Crop Statistician Mark Schleusener says this left some fields too wet for harvest.
62 percent of soybeans are turning colors and 32 percent are dropping leaves. The condition of the soybean crop also remained the same with 53 percent in good to excellent condition.
