(Springfield, IL) — Lawmakers in Illinois won’t let a veto from Governor Rauner change a bill designed to help those suffering from heroin abuse. The state Senate voted yesterday to override the veto, which was already approved by the House. The measure now becomes law, which allows the state’s Medicaid health care program to fund the treatment of heroin addiction.
