Weather changes are on the way. We are looking at a chance of showers and thunderstorms for today and we’ll again see our high get up to 90. But, then the changes will really begin. Showers and thunderstorms are likely for tonight and into Wednesday with a cold front moving in the area. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says a few of the thunderstorms could become severe this afternoon and this evening and capable of producing damaging wind gusts over 60 miles per hour and locally heavy rainfall could be possible. Showers and storms will stay with us on Wednesday with a high of just 79 on Wednesday and a low Wednesday night down to 61. Our temperatures will continue to drop into the upcoming weekend with a high of just 70 on Saturday. For the rest of September, if the long term forecast holds true, we do not have any more hot stretches and more “fall-like” weather for the remainder of this month.
