Gyula M. Hill, 78, of Vandalia, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Wed. September 9, 2015 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia with Rev. Jerry Bagwell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Ramsey, IL. Memorials may be made to Fayette County Healthcare Hospice. Hohlt & File Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Gyula was born March 21, 1937 in Vandalia, the daughter of Ira R. and Clara M. (Rockwell) Oldham. She married Ross D. Hill on March 13, 1954 in Vandalia. She retired from Majestic Drapery as a supervisor and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
She is survived sons Rick Hill and wife Faye and Jeffery Hill and wife Chris; daughters Tracy Lash and Kelly and husband Doug Klein all of Vandalia; 7 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond Oldham, sisters Delores Oldfield, Joyce Davis, and Pamela McWhorter.
