(Springfield, IL) — Hiring in Illinois keeps going on without a state budget. The state of Illinois hired four-hundred-40 people in August. That number is more than the six-month average and higher than last month’s number. A spokeswoman for Governor Rauner says the workers are being hired to replace others who have left the state payroll.
