(Springfield, IL) — Governor Rauner’s veto of a union arbitration bill will stand. The Illinois House fell short yesterday of the votes needed to override the veto. The bill would have allowed contract talks between the state and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees to be decided by an arbitrator.
