(St.Louis, MO) — Ryan Zimmerman homered twice and doubled in the go-ahead run in the eighth as the Nationals nipped the Cardinals, 4-3, at Busch Stadium. The Nats avoided a three-game sweep with the win. Brandon Moss hit a solo homer for the Redbirds, who had 16 hits but left 13 men on base. Jonathan Broxton took the loss.

(St.Louis, MO) — The Cardinals are off today before resuming their homestand tomorrow against Pittsburgh. The Pirates come to town for a three-game series, with Lance Lynn slated to oppose J.A.Happ at 7:15 p.m. The Cardinals will also host the Cubs for three games starting Monday afternoon.

(Chicago, IL) — Kris Bryant’s two-out error led to a three-run homer by Joey Votto in the ninth inning as the Reds pulled out a 7-4 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Hector Rondon took the loss for Chicago. Bryant, Tommy La Stella and Anthony Rizzo homered for the Cubs. They host Arizona starting tomorrow.
