(Springfield, IL) — A bill designed to keep the Illinois State Museum open is getting support from lawmakers. The measure was passed yesterday by an Illinois House committee. Governor Rauner’s administration had set September 30th as the date for closure. The move was planned as a cost-saving measure while the state continues to deal with a budget impasse.
