(Springfield, IL) — A number of social services will be funded after Governor Rauner signed a bill yesterday allowing the state to spend over five-billion dollars in federal funds. The money is expected to be spent on certain state programs including food and child care programs for low-income families. Rauner had threatened to veto the bill when Democratic leaders tried to add state funding to the spending plan.
