(St.Louis, MO) — Stephen Piscotty scored on an errant Brandon Crawford throw in the eighth to lift the Cardinals to a 2-1 win over the Giants. Yadier Molina belted a solo homer for the Redbirds in the opener of the three-game set. Kevin Siegrist picked up the win in relief of Michael Wacha, who tossed seven innings of one-run ball. Trevor Rosenthal earned his 37th save after Buster Posey flied out to the warning track to end the game.
