(Springfield, IL) — Former Peoria congressman Aaron Schock finished a two-day hearing in a Springfield federal court today on whether he should be held in civil contempt for failing to produce campaign and congressional records, as ordered by a judge. The judge will decide next week whether sealed court records should be made public and what information should be redacted from those documents. Schock is being investigated by a federal grand jury of his use of taxpayer and campaign funds. The investigation is what prompted him to resign at the end of March.
