(Springfield, IL) — A new Illinois law may make it easier for veterans in the state to find jobs. The law signed by Governor Rauner yesterday allows private companies to voluntarily establish preference in employment for certain veterans. The Veterans Preference in Private Employment Act applies to veterans of the five service branches, their reserve components, and the Illinois National Guard.
