(Undated) — The pending budget crisis may force Illinois high school students to pay for the ACT exam. “The Chicago Tribune” reports districts don’t know if the free college entrance exam will be given to juniors in the spring because of uncertainty about state funding. Students could be prevented from taking the ACT even if funding is approved since the state’s contract with the testing company expired at the end of last month.
